Harold Loveless, Sr. 83, of Lubbock passed away August 18, 2013. A visitation will be held Wednesday August 21, 2013 from 5 until 7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Thursday August 22, 2013 at 4:00 pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will be held Friday August 23, 2013 at 3:00pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, beside his loving wife Mary who preceded him in death.
Harold Loveless was born on September 26, 1929 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Joseph Edward and Gertrude (Roberts) Loveless. After high school he enlisted into The United States Air Force. He served as a Flight Engineer. He served his country in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He received many honors and awards for his service before retiring.
His creativity and ingenuity allowed him to work well with his hands especially wood working. He was a Mason and was a part of the Shriners. He was also a fixture at the South Plains Bowling Alley where you could find him any night of the week.
He is survived by his devoted son Harold Loveless, Jr and his wife Leeta; a daughter Jennifer Ellen Dunn; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of siblings, and other relatives and friends.
