

Helen Pearl was raised in Meadow, TX, where she graduated from Meadow High School in 1953. On June 29, 1952, she married the love of her life, Don Bingham. Together, they shared 71 years of devoted marriage, building a life grounded in faith, family, and enduring love until his passing on June 1, 2024.
Helen and Don established deep roots in Terry County, where they raised their four children and operated a successful farming business for more than six decades. A gracious and dedicated homemaker, Helen was known for her exceptional cooking and her gift for hospitality. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and cherished gatherings for family.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including her love for Dr. Pepper and her unwavering support of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Helen and Don spent many years traveling together, proudly supporting the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders across the country.
A woman of strong faith, Helen was a longtime member of Meadow First Baptist Church and later became a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Helen will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, elegance, and gentle humor. She embodied grace and dignity in all aspects of her life and leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through generations.
She is survived by her children, Donna Cheatham and husband Keith, Danny Bingham, Debbie Smith and husband Glenn, and Darrell Bingham, all of Lubbock; her cherished grandchildren, Jamie (Ken) Magness, Jeremy Cheatham, Jill (Steven) Toms, Matthew (Jenae) Bingham, Whitney (Scott) Wholley, Brandon (Jennifer) Bingham, Jordan (Josie) Bingham, Ashley (Brian) Batterton, Kerrie (Tyler) DeHay, Shea (Russell) Jephcott, Lynsey (Erik) Lara, Haylee (Wesley) Hyde, Blaire Bingham, and Parker (Cheyenne) Bingham; twenty great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Novella Mason and Nelda Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Bingham; her parents, Dell J. and Vera Jordan; and her brother, Edward Jordan.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Meadow First Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Heath officiating. Interment will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. at Meadow Cemetery.
