Born on April 11, 1946, Helen was the daughter of Alfred J. and Sibyl B. (Tyson) Rushing.
Helen married Roy L. “Sonny” Brillon on July 24, 1964, and they shared 50 years of marriage before his passing on June 1, 2015. Together, they raised three sons: Todd, Toby, and Tony.
Helen dedicated 30 years of her professional life to AT&T before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. “Sonny” Brillon; her father, Alfred J. Rushing; and her mother, Sibyl B. (Tyson) Rushing.
Helen is survived by her three sons, Todd Brillon, Toby Brillon, and Tony Brillon; her brother, James “Jim” Rushing of Tennessee; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at South Park Baptist Church, 2201 82nd Street, Lubbock, Texas.
A committal service is scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.
