Henry Felan Sr., 54, of Wolfforth, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife and family. He was born on April 25, 1972, to the late Frutoso and Maria Elena Felan. He fought a courageous battle with remarkable strength and determination. After a lifetime of hard work, resilience, and joyful living, he entered eternal rest.
To know Henry was to know a man of boundless energy, unmistakable charisma, and a genuine love for people. He had an extraordinary gift for connecting with others and making everyone feel welcome. He was a true free spirit who lived life on his own terms, embracing each day with confidence, authenticity, and a sense of adventure that inspired those around him.
Henry loved music and was rarely one to pass up an opportunity to sing or dance. Whether surrounded by family and friends or simply enjoying a quiet moment at home, he found joy in sharing music with those he loved. One of his favorite songs to sing was "Dancing in the Sky," which he often sang alongside his late beloved dog, Pearl. As Henry sang, Pearl would faithfully howl along with him, creating a cherished memory that still brings smiles and comfort to those who witnessed it.
Henry was a man who built a life through hard work and perseverance. As the proud owner and operator of Felan's Construction, his skilled hands and creative mind were constantly at work. He was a gifted craftsman who took tremendous pride in everything he created. If Henry could imagine it, he could build it, repair it, or transform it.
His greatest work, however, was not found in the things he constructed. The greatest masterpiece Henry ever created was his family. He built a foundation of love, loyalty, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished most. He poured himself into being the best father and “Krampaw”, teaching not only through words but through the way he lived. His strength became the strength of his children and grandchildren. His wisdom became their guide. His love became the foundation upon which generations will continue to stand.
While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing his work here is complete, his suffering has ended, and he is finally at peace. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the friendships he treasured, and the countless lives he touched.
Henry is survived by his wife, Kristi Garcia; his beloved children, Jermey Aguilar (Asia), Henry Felan II, Yvette Lucio (Justin), LaShawnda Armendariz (Alberto), Emilee Clark, Timothy Felan, Monique Ontiveros (Anthony), Jasmine Felan, Julian Felan, Johnathan Felan, Jake Felan, Kamryn Rodriguez (Leroy), and Kaleb Garcia; his cherished grandchildren Kiara, Ashlee, Ezmeray, Lilith, Symphony, Anaveah, Irene, Maverick, Charles, Killian, Amelia, Jassiah, Justin, Jaylie, Jabin, Natalia, Nathaniel, Enzo, Aris, Melody; his mother, Maria Elena Prieto Felan; and his siblings, Alma Baker (Roger), Delfina Felan Anzaldua, Miguel Felan (Carol), Vincent Felan, Carlos Felan, and Mario Felan; four nieces, seven nephews, eleven grand nieces, six grand nephews, numerous extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him
He was preceded in death by his father, Frutoso Grimaldo Felan of Brownfield, Texas, and his beloved grandchild, Zekio Aguilar.
Though his workbench is now still, the legacy Henry built stands strong. The foundation he laid will endure, and the love he gave will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him. His strength, laughter, love of music, and unwavering devotion to family will never be forgotten.
