

Henry was born to Franklin A. and Ruby Ussery on April 1st, 1932, in Lubbock, Texas. He went on to attend and graduate from Lubbock High School.
In 1952 Henry enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. After serving four years in the Air Force, he was honorably discharged in 1956.
Henry married the love of his life, Ms. Faye Elmore, on February 23rd, 1957. They welcomed one daughter, Debralene, into the world. Henry and Faye would celebrate 52 beautiful years together before her passing in 2018.
Henry had a true servant’s heart, from serving his country, to his career in Civil Service for 27 years, and Lockheed for 2 years. His true passion in life was spreading the word of the Lord to others alongside his wife. He would spend 15 years as a pastor, serving the communities of Lubbock and Belton, Texas, as well as ministering to those who were ill in hospital ministry.
In his free time Henry enjoyed the outdoors and finding a great spot to relax and fish. Henry was also an incredibly talented artist, winning numerous awards from the Lubbock County Fair for his stunning paintings.
Henry was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Faye Ussery, his loving parents, Franklin A. and Ruby Ussery, his sister, Dola Miller, brothers, Jean Ussery, Benny Ussery, and J. D. Ussery.
Those left to cherish Henry’s memory include one brother, Gerald Ussery, his daughter, Debralene Ussery, two granddaughters, Marsha Ann Edwards, and Amanda Marr, five great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Williamson, Madison Marr, Isaac Edwards, Leanna Edwards, and Raigan Jones, as well as three great-great-grandchildren, Brecken Williamson, Jeb Williamson, and Luke Jones.
