Howard Bradley Harvey, 90, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1935, in Littlefield, Texas, and lived a life marked by unwavering faith, integrity, hard work, and deep love for his family.
Howard placed his faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 12, beginning a lifelong walk with the Lord that shaped every aspect of his life. He was a devoted student of God's Word and found great joy and encouragement in gospel music. His quiet faith, steady character, and servant's heart were evident to all who knew him.
Howard enjoyed a successful career as an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance, where he built lasting relationships through his integrity, honesty, and genuine care for those he served until his retirement. Outside of work, he found great joy in motorcycle riding and woodworking, especially the art of wood carving. He took pride in creating beautiful pieces that reflected his patience, skill, and attention to detail.
He attended Draughon's Business College and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 30 years. His commitment to sharing the hope of the Gospel extended beyond his local church as he faithfully served on the board of directors of the Gilbert Herrera Evangelistic Association.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Dorothy Harvey; his first wife, Mary Harvey; his daughter, Pauline Olds; and his brothers, Glen Harvey and Bobby Harvey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorathy Harvey; his son, Roy Harvey and wife, Tammy; his daughters, Valerie Gregory and Alisa Grace and husband, Chris; seven cherished grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His family was one of his greatest blessings, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.
Howard will be remembered for his quick wit and storytelling, his gentle spirit, quiet strength, unwavering faith, and steadfast love for his family. His life was a testimony to God's faithfulness, and he leaves behind a legacy of Christian devotion, humility, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. While his family mourns his passing, they rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of the Savior he faithfully loved and served throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Gilbert Herrera Evangelistic Association, a ministry that was close to Howard's heart and one he faithfully supported through his service.
