Irvin F. Schroeder

Irvin was born September 7, 1920 outside of Beasley, TX to the late Otto and Lillie Schroeder. He entered the Navy in 1942 and was a Yeoman First Class. He served our country in the South Pacific and was the recipient of a good conduct medal, WWII Victory medal and an Asiatic-Pacific medal with one star. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He married the love of his life Wanda Raley, August 21, 1942 in Houston, TX. Together they established a life in Houston.Irvin was a great provider and loving father and husband. Irvin was a man of integrity, and spoke with solemn wisdom. He was a member of Bellaire Central Baptist Church in Houston where he was a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his sons; Don Schroeder and wife Harriet and Mark Schroeder and wife Denise, all of Lubbock; granddaughters, Kristin Pacheco of Houston, Kari (Greg) Lecas of Frankfort, Illinois, Jenna Schroeder of Dallas and Katelyn Schroeder of Denton; and two great grand children Mason and Raelyn Lecas.
