Celebration of life services for Frances Wood, 89 of Cleveland, formerly of Lubbock, will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 29, 2010 at Resthaven’s Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Frances went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Cleveland, TX after a lengthily battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born July 1, 1920 in Tulsa, OK. to the late William and Phobe (Weston) Stevenson. Frances was the Salutatorian of Pharoah High School in 1938. She married Pete Wood, June 23, 1940 in Okemah, OK. In 1944 they moved to Lubbock where they owned and operated Pete’s Drive-in and the Westend Apartments. She was employed by Ming Tree Restaurant for many years.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, son, Ken Wood daughter, Cheryl DeConcini, granddaughter, Deana Wood and a great grandson, Bryson Stevenson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Kim and Kristi Blair, Brent Wood, Brian DeConcini, and Jennifer Sorensen and seven great grandchildren, brother, Raymond Stevenson, daughter in law, Nancy Wood and son in law, Ed DeConcini.
