James B. Ables

Celebration of life services for J.B. Ables, 75, of Lubbock will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, March 16. 2010 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Wolfington officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, March 15, 2010 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

J.B. was born December 20, 1934 in Dawson County, Texas to the late James M and Sallie (Young) Ables.

He married the love of his life Sherry Hendrick, September 2, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas. J. B. owned and operated Action Trailer and Equipment for 39 years. He loved spending time out doors with his dogs hunting and fishing. J. B. was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sherry Ables, son; Pat Ables and wife Donna, daughter; Jubie Ables, all of Lubbock, grandchildren; Amber Kemp, Sean Ables and wife, Ashley, Paul Ables, Blakelee Kemp and Luke Kelley, and one great grandchild to arrive in September. Sisters; Christine Ellerbee, Jessie Elvey, Parathena “Rip” Owens, Jamie Mansell, companions; Fluffy and Buddy and numerous nieces and nephews.
