James "Jimmy" S. Harris

James “Jimmy” Stephen Harris, 73, of Levelland went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. on March 21, 2017, at South Plains Church in Levelland, Texas. Jimmy was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Bill and Jerry Harris on April 4, 1943. He graduated from Levelland High School and South Plains College. He married Joni George on December 22, 1961. He worked as a farmer and owned Harris Construction. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; Bill and Jerry Harris; sister, Betsy Harris; and a daughter, Susan Ann Harris. Jimmy is survived by his wife Joni Harris; two sons; Steve and wife Cindy Harris; Chad and wife Michele Harris, both of Lubbock; brother Tommy and wife Virginia Harris of Levelland; four grandchildren; Jeremy Harris of Lubbock; Dakota and husband Kyler Adams of Levelland; Chance and wife Shanna Harris of Lubbock; Mikayle and husband Casey Bracey of Levelland; three great grandchildren; Rhaelyn Bracey; Rhyder Bracey; and Sawyer Adams; also by multiple nieces and nephews.
