James leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and whose lives were forever touched by his love. He is survived by his mother, Teresa, and father, Pete; his beloved wife, Cathy, whom he married on September 10, 2026, after sharing 22 beautiful years; and his children, Brandon Navarette and Marissa Marquez; Kimberly and John Arriaga; Oralia Ferrazas; Eronica Ferrazas and Albert Constancio; and Monica Ferrazas and Chris Acosta. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as his siblings Harvey Navarette, Sophia Navarette Nelson, Raquel Navarette, and Pete Navarette Jr.
James dedicated 17 years of his life to working at Group 1 Toyota Automotive, where he built lasting connections and friendships along the way. Outside of work, James enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He loved camping, fishing, and barbecuing, and he especially loved visiting South Padre Island, making it a tradition to return whenever he could.
But more than anything, James found his greatest happiness in his family. There was nothing more precious to him than spending time with his grandchildren. Their smiles, laughter, and time together brought him a kind of joy that was unmistakable. Those moments will forever remain some of the most treasured memories his family carries with them.
James will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten. He will live on in the stories his family tells, in the traditions they continue, in the lessons he taught, and most of all, in the hearts of the people who were blessed to call him husband, dad, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.
