Jan Jobb was born on July 5, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas, and passed from this life on May 26, 2026, in Booneville, Arkansas, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, strength, and love that will continue to live on through all who knew her.
Jan dedicated many years of her life to nursing, where she passionately cared for others and worked tirelessly helping nurse people back to health. She had a feisty spirit, a strong will, and a heart that showed itself through her actions more than words. Those who knew her knew she was strong-minded, caring, and unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Jay Jobb, whom she loved deeply and remained devoted to throughout her life; her daughters, Janice “Michelle” Reasoner and Pamela “Jill” Shadden; and her granddaughter, Shanna Leigh Davis.
Jan is survived by her sons, Jason Jobb and James “Justin” Jobb, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry pieces of her spirit with them. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Jack “Jacky” McGeorge. The two shared a special bond throughout the years, one built on love, loyalty, and a lifetime of memories together.
When she was young, Jan loved to dance, and those who knew her can still picture the spark she carried. Her family finds comfort in believing that she is dancing once again — free from pain, reunited with loved ones, and at peace beneath the “Spirit in the Sky.”
A graveside service honoring Jan’s life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven in Lubbock, Texas.
Though she will be deeply missed, her strength, fire, and love will never be forgotten.
