Janice Marcile (Reihe) Pamperin, 79, passed away peacefully at The Legacy at South Plains in Lubbock,Texas on April 21, 2025. She is best remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a fun-loving and supportive friend; and a successful entrepreneur, founding and leading J.P’s Fundwear, a screen printing and embroidery company serving schools, non-profits, and local businesses for over 40 years. In addition to a passion for gardening, Janice loved to travel, and shared many incredible trips and cruises with her husband Roger.
Janice was born in and spent her early life in South Dakota, but she adopted Lubbock as her forever home in 1970, becoming a Texan through and through. She believed strongly in giving back to her community, living her faith through years of service as a Board Member for Lutheran Social Services of the South, and supporting other women-led businesses through involvement with professional organizations and foundations.
Janice will be missed by all who knew her, including her three children, Francile Beights (Bob), Brian Pamperin (Shanna), and Daniel Pamperin (Bert), and five grandchildren, Jarod and Rebecca Beights, and Mia, Teddy, and Jake Pamperin. She forged many special connections through shared experiences, and had a rare ability to remember everyone she’d met and the details of their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, parents Clarence and LaVera Reihe, and brothers Buddy and Berwin Reihe.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the caregivers and staff at both Legacy at South Plains and Enhabit Hospice for their support and care.
Services will be Saturday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home.
