Janis Kay Armour

In the early morning of January 24th, 2023, Janis Kay Armour went home to be with Jesus. Born to Floyd and Yvonne McCleskey on August 3rd, 1951, Janis was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grand and great-grandmother, and a friend to all. She loved the color red, getting her nails done, her pup, Ziggy, curled up in her lap, spending time with her family, and above all, Janis loved the Lord. “The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And his song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.” -Psalm 42:8 Janis leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 36 years, Larry Armour; children Jana Michelle Taylor and husband Rick, Richard Spencer and wife Kallie, Brandon Armour and wife Edith, Brad Armour, Pam Taylor and husband Lance; six grandchildren, Tristin Hearne and husband Spur, Cortney Taylor and fiancé Mondo, Kelsey Spencer and husband Collin, Kylie Spencer, Cory Taylor, and Eleanor Armour; two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Bentley Taylor. Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28th, at 1pm at Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Janis’ love for animals and asks that all donations be made to The Haven Animal Care Shelter. A visitation for Janis will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
