

Jason was born in Lubbock, March 19, 1984. He attended Coronado High School and at age 22 he joined the United States Army as a Calvary Scout. Jason was a war hero who loved his country and was passionate about protecting our Country and law enforcement. Jason was a combat veteran who served three combat tours, two in Iraq (2007, 2009) and one in Afghanistan (2012). While on active duty, Jason earned numerous medals including the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 campaign stars, Combat Action Badge, Army Commendation Medal with combat “V”, Army Commendation Medal with 3 stars, The Army Achievement Medal with 1 Gold Star in lieu of 6th award, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Jason was medically retired from the Army on June 29, 2015 from his combat injuries.
As a devoted father and husband, Jason valued time with his family from playing video games, hiking with them, attending school functions with the children, cooking family meals, and Friday family nights. Jason’s favorite hobby was being with his family but also enjoyed collecting guns. Jason is survived by his wife DeAnn Lyon, five children Aliceson, age 15, Brendon, age 11, Conner, age 8, Kylei, age 7, Peyton, age 6; parents Mark and Maribeth Lyon, and a sister, Kristi House.
