Ermagene Maria Chewning, 86 passed away February 3, 2015. She was a Texan at heart. She was born in Weatherford, grew up in Cee Vee where she married Harold Chewning, raised her children Carol Parker and Richard Chewning in Plainview.
She settled in Lubbock where she adored 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Michael Chewning; brother, Curtis Butler Jr. and sister, Vonndale Sitzer.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Renegar and Pauline Rusk and other relatives mentioned previously. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, at Resthaven Fu-neral Home.
