Born on November 12, 1952, Jeff grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School.
Jeff began his career as a butcher at Furr’s Supermarkets before transitioning to work as a pressman at several print shops in Lubbock. Known for his dedication and strong work ethic, he made lasting connections throughout his professional life.
For the past 15 years, Jeff was an active member of First Baptist Church in Shallowater, where he found joy and fellowship among his church family. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and brought him great comfort and purpose.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn; his son, Matthew; and his cherished grandson, Ace. He is also survived by his brothers Eddie and wife Jennie Lynn and Thomas and wife Marilyn, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Tom and Betty Jane McClure.
Jeff will be remembered for his giving nature, loyalty to those he cared about, and a sharp wit that brought smiles to many. He loved deeply—his family, friends, and church community—and was loved by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Shallowater.
