

Jessie Dee Saddler, “Pip” of Lubbock, Texas was called home on February 22, 2025. He was born on February 04, 1950 to Fred and Mary Saddler. Jessie had a wonderful life filled with love and family.
A celebration of Jessie’s life will be held at Resthaven on Saturday, March 01, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In 1971 he married Darlene, his captain for life. Together they built a life of love, fun and adventure. His devotion to Darlene and his family was unending. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jessie was a man of honor and integrity. He was a role model and mentor to many.
His sharp wit and warm presence lit up every room, and he always had a joke and a smile for those around him.
A lifelong gamer, Jessie found joy playing games across generations from Atari with his daughters to Xbox with his grandsons and wife. His favorite game was Call of Duty. His love for gaming was just one of the many ways he bonded with his family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Jessie proudly dedicated 42 years of service to the City of Lubbock as a water plant operator, known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others. Even outside of work, he found happiness in being of service to those around him.
Jessie is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene, who stood by his side through every adventure; his cherished daughters, Melissa and Vickie and his treasured grandsons, Hunter and Nick who were the light of his life; they will forever remember their time with “Pip.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary, his brother Deanie and his sweet daughter Amie Rebecca.
Though he has left this world, his love, humor, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Jessie’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family.
Pip, you will always be loved and remembered.
