

Known as “Jesse” and “Chuy” to his friends, Jesús was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a warm soul who loved the outdoors. Always laughing and enjoying life, he made friends of strangers and left an impression on everyone he interacted with.
Jesús was born the son of Antonio and Maria Hilda “Lila” Coronado in Juárez, Mexico in 1951, and was raised in El Paso, Texas in a loving home. He moved to Lubbock in the late 70s to settle down and start a family. Jesús went to the public sector where he embarked on a decades-long career as a distinguished building inspector for the city of Lubbock.
Jesús is survived by his wife Teresa, his children, René and Jessica and their mother Herlinda, his stepchildren Terry and Tony, his six grandchildren, his sister Fidelina (Ernesto) Valencia, and his brother Ismael (Patricia) Coronado.
A rosary service will be held on Friday June 30th at Resthaven Funeral Home at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will commence Saturday, July 1st at Christ The King Cathedral Church at 10:00 AM.
