Jim Charles Dickens of Lubbock passed away on April 3, 2010 at the age of 35. Jim was born in Tulia, Texas to Jim Alvin and Janice Bernette (Thompson) Dickens. He graduated from Frenship High School in 1993 and received an Associate Degree from Hobbs N. M. Jr. College in 1995. Jim will best be remembered for his many friends. To ride with Jim was to be a friend for life. The survivors he leaves behind to cherish his memories are his parents Jim and Janice Dickens of Lubbock, and his sisters De Anna and husband Roy Brackett, and Becki and husband Chris Johnson both of Lubbock. He will also be missed by his grandmother Joyce Thompson, and his niece and nephews and numerous friends and other family members. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, April 6th from 6 to 8 pm. at Resthaven Funeral Home. And the memorial service for Jim is 1 pm Wednesday, April 7th at Green Lawn Church of Christ 5701 W. 19th St. with Rev David Fraze officiating.
