Celebration of life service for Jimmie Ruth Clem Bailey, 94, of Lubbock will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, February 15, 2010 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Jimmie Ruth was born October 7, 1915 in Mt. Calm, Texas to the late Hillard and Effie (Bruton) Casey. She was one of ten children.
She married Urcie Clem in 1931 who preceded her in death in 1966. She later married Arden Bailey when he preceded her in death in 2004. Jimmie was a faithful member of Trinity Church. She was a devout Christian and loved her children.
Jimmie was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mitch Clem and a son-in-law, Lester Brewer.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Clifton and Bernice Clem and Bobby and Jammie Clem both of New Home, Melba Brewer of Wolfforth, Vynoma Clem-Brown and Jimmy, Jerrie Wadley, Darline and JR Coffey, Dana and Jimmy Hewlett all of Lubbock, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
