Mrs. Jimmie Ruth DeShone, 83, Lubbock, TX, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at home from complications related to heart disease and lungs. She was in hospice care 2 weeks prior to her death. She died peacefully in her sleep.
DeShone was born September 7, 1933 in Paris, TX to late parents S.M. Moore and Frances Cobbs.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Willie Lee DeShone; her sister, Rosie Lee Greene, and her nephew, Leon Moore.
Survived by her four children; Thomas H. DeShone, of Lubbock, TX; Patsy A. DeShone, of Lubbock, TX; Willie L. DeShone, Jr. of Mesa, AZ. and Sabrina L. Mayes DeShone of Cedar Hill, TX. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24th at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with interment to follow.
