Jimmy was my brother-in-law for many years. I always enjoyed his dry sense of humor. Even though he was no longer married to my sister I still considered him a friend. He will be missed.

Jimmy Duke (Mr Duke to me), was a lovely, caring father to his two daughters and all their friends too. He was always looking out for his girls, making sure they hadn't forgotten gas in their car, had enough money, didn't get lost. He was protective and loving of them in an old fashioned way. I remember him in the garden, taking walks and joking with us girls as we rushed off for another adventure. He was a solid man, someone you just knew you could count on if you needed him. I love you Mr Duke and thanking you for being such a wonderful father to Kelly and Keri, and to all of us.

Jimmy was a good man and role model. In all the years I knew him I never saw him show anger or even raise his voice. He had a dry sense of humor and told great stories. I'm going to miss that distinctive voice, wit, and slight west Texas drawl. I enjoyed our bi-monthly phone calls where we discussed old friends and family. I know he was a great husband, proud dad and grandpa. It was a privilege to call him friend. 

Jimmy was one of a kind! Glad I have such funny memories of him. My prayers to the family...
