Joe F. Anthony

Joe F. Anthony, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Joe was born on December 26th, 1937, in Lubbock, Texas to J. F. and Mary Anthony. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1956 and attended Texas Tech. Joe married Pat Lindeman in 1958. They had three children and were happily married until her death in 1994.

In 2002 Joe married Mary Ann Thompson. They have had many years of enjoying retirement, traveling and grandchildren.

Joe was involved in agriculture all of his life. After retiring, he enjoyed volunteering at the Museum of Agriculture to share his lifetime of experience with farming and equipment to any that were interested. He also enjoyed family, friends, football, rodeo, and playing golf as often as possible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.F. and Mary Anthony, wife Pat Anthony, children Vicki Anthony and Blake Anthony, and siblings, Bill Anthony, Ruth Thompson, and Nell Huff.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Anthony, daughter Jill Allison (Trent), step daughters Rene Davis (Steve) and Kay Jones (David), grandchildren, Alyse Lackey (Jon), Ellyn Wylie (Ben), James Anthony (Natasha), Josh Weatherred (Molly), Tori Allison, Braden Allison, Jon Anderson, Kayla Wendt (Andrew), Josh Davis (Dianne), Hayley Sheets (Layne), and Cason Davis, as well as lots of great grandchildren.

Joe will be dearly missed. We will honor him with a graveside service on Friday, January 16th, at 2 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park.
