Born on August 24, 1942, in Huntington Park, California, he graduated from Bermuda High School in 1960 and later attended New Mexico State University. John spent his working years in restaurant equipment maintenance with US Foods before retiring.
He was the son of Elsie Glockzin and Philip “Jack” Caulfield. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Everett Glockzin; his sister, Judy Withrow; and his nephew, Michael Withrow.
John is remembered by his children, Casey Trout (Tyler), Courtney Parum (John), Shannon Padilla, Laurie Ledbetter, and Kelly Guscott. He is also remembered by his grandchildren: Shamara Oliver-Trout, Rylie Parum, John Michael Parum, Addison Parum, Kyree Trout, Jack Trout, Evan Sanchez, Seth Guscott, Kaia Guscott, Cole Guscott, Adam Lammens, Hannah Lammens, and Justin Padilla.
Outside of work, John followed the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and the Coronado Mustangs. He was known as a strong supporter of his family, and his memory remains with those who knew him.
