John Ralph “Jack" Link died December 27, 2012 in Lubbock, TX. Jack was born on January 12, 1934 in Brownsville, TX to the late John and Velma (Han-cock) Link. While in the Navy Air Corp he met and married the former Mary Jane Medlin on February 25, 1961. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1956. He worked for Anderson-Clayton Company for 26 years, after which he became a contractor for the Texas Cotton Ginners Association. He was active in his church St. Stephens Episcopal Church in various capacities from serving on the vestry to being the secretary for the executive Committee for the Diocese of Northwest Texas.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Schell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 51 years Mary Jane Link; brother Tom Link of Austin, TX; sister Glenda Michel of Longmont, Co; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2012 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
