

Jonathan Wade Gresham, 52, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday June 20, 2014. He was born November 19, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK to Gary and Betty Gresham. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Medical Technology. After working in Blood Banking in Oklahoma City for several years he moved his family to Lubbock, TX to work as the Technical Director for Texas Blood Institute. He then moved into a career with Robert Madden Industries where he served as their IT Manager for many years. Jon served as Scoutmaster with the South Plains Council Troop 505 at Lakeridge United Methodist Church. Many of the Scouts fondly remember Jon as someone who inspired them as a role model through his leadership, character and caring of them as individuals. He was a member of Cooper United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife Christy; two sons, Jon Michael and Jacob Matthew both of Lubbock; his parents, Gary and Betty Gresham, two brothers, Henry Gresham and wife Linda and Chris Gresham and wife Tiffany all of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law Tom Ptomey and wife Marcela of Eagle River, AK; sister-in-law Nyla Ptomey of Lubbock, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Cooper United Methodist Church, 16612 Texas 493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 10 am Tuesday June 24, 2014, followed by burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 W 19th, Lubbock, TX. Memorial gifts may be made to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1779, Newport Beach, CA 92659-0139.
