Joyce was born on October 13, 1944, in Odessa, Texas, to Vivian and Dewey Anderson. From an early age, she was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion for others—qualities that remained with her throughout her entire life.
On December 23, 1966, Joyce married the love of her life, James Fambro. Together they shared nearly six decades of marriage built on love, faith, commitment, and devotion to one another. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their daughter, Amanda Fambro, whom Joyce loved unconditionally and supported with all her heart.
Joyce was devoted to her family, and nothing brought her greater happiness than caring for the people she loved. She believed that family was life's greatest blessing, and she demonstrated that belief every day through her selflessness, generosity, and endless acts of kindness. Whether offering a comforting word, preparing a meal, lending a helping hand, or simply being present when someone needed her, Joyce had a remarkable gift for making others feel loved and cared for.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Fambro; her cherished daughter, Amanda Fambro; her sister, Donna Parker, and Donna's husband, Larry Parker; three nieces, Christie, Jennifer, and LeAnn; one nephew, Kenneth; and many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Dewey Anderson.
Those who knew Joyce will remember her as one of the sweetest people they had ever met. But she also possessed a quiet strength that inspired everyone around her. Even during the most difficult chapters of her life, Joyce never gave up. She faced every challenge with courage, dignity, and determination, always placing the needs of others before her own. She was a true fighter whose resilience became an inspiration to her family and friends.
Joyce's kind nature extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a natural caregiver whose greatest joy came from helping others. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love, where everyone was welcomed with open arms. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her compassion knew no limits, and her generosity of spirit touched countless lives.
Her legacy is one of love, kindness, strength, and sacrifice. She taught those around her the importance of compassion, perseverance, and putting family first. While her loved ones mourn the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in the countless memories she created and in the example she set through a life well lived.
Joyce will be deeply missed every day, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her gentle smile, caring heart, unwavering strength, and selfless spirit will never be forgotten. Though she has left this earthly life, the impact she made on her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her will remain forever.
The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time as they celebrate the beautiful life and enduring legacy of Joyce Fambro, beloved wife, mother, sister, and above all, friend.
