For nearly 31 weeks, June defied the odds. Even as complications related to her diagnosis continued to stack against her, she remained strong with a steady heartbeat and the occasional kick to remind her parents that she had no intention of giving up. In those quiet, unseen moments, she made a lasting impact that words cannot explain.
Though June did not experience life outside the womb, she was known, cherished, deeply loved and fully desired every single day of her life. Her story is one of courage, faith, and the undeniable value of life, no matter how short.
While her family grieves the pain of her absence, they do not grieve without hope. June’s earthly goodbye is not forever, it is a “see you later.” They rest on the promise of Scripture that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8), and they find peace in knowing that June is now fully healed, made whole, and in the presence of her Creator.
Their hope is anchored in Jesus Christ, who said, “Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). Because of Him, they trust that June is safe in His arms, experiencing a fullness of joy that surpasses all understanding.
June’s life, though brief, has already pointed many toward eternity. She has stirred hearts to think about heaven, to reflect on what truly matters, and to consider the hope that is found in Christ Jesus alone.
Her family’s prayer is that her story would not end here, but would gently lead others to the same hope that now carries them—the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the promise that in Him, death is not the end. This hope rests in the truth that Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, and gave Himself freely on the cross at Calvary for the forgiveness of sins for all who believe in Him. He rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father. Because of Him, they hold fast to a hope that reaches beyond this life and into eternity.
