June was born on May 11, 1931, to Richard Earl Watson and Verta Lee (Mitchell) Watson. She attended Whitharral ISD and graduated in 1948. June married Kenneth Marion Kiser on August 14, 1949. They raised four children and farmed in the Anton area until Kenneth’s death in 1970. She stayed on the farm until their youngest had graduated, then moved to Levelland where she worked as a dorm mother at South Plains College from 1977 to 1979. June also lived in Abernathy and Littlefield over the years, but always stayed within 30 miles of the farm where she and Kenneth had lived and raised their family.
June was a member of the Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ in Anton, Texas. She loved her family and spent every birthday and holiday with them while her grandkids were growing up... as long as the family told her that the party started about an hour before it was actually scheduled to start!
June is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, her sister Elaine, her brother Ernest, and her son-in-law Larry White.
She is survived by her children - Tom (and Karen) Kiser, Bill (and Sandra) Kiser, Rob (and Lavonne) Kiser, and Peggy (Kiser) White; her grandchildren - Kenna (and Cody) Bush, Teresa (and Jeff) Lane, Katie (and Billy) Briggs, Jeri Moravcik, Crystal (and Jermyn) Baker, Kent (and Ashley) Riker, Beau (and Stacy) Riker, Samantha (and Wendell) Burris, Austin Kiser McNeely, and Nicki Beggs; and 20 great-grandchildren!
The family wants to thank the staff of Crown Point for their care of June during her years there.
