She was born in Big Spring, TX on July 6, 1940 to W.C. & Maxine Jones. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1958 and married her high school sweetheart Dan J. McPherson on September 2, 1961.
She retired as a librarian from LISD after also teaching adult education for many years.
Karen was a sweet lady who loved anybody she ever met. She also enjoyed shopping,
spending time with family & talking on the phone to dear friends. We rest easy knowing
that she is with Jesus & the love of her life. Karen was a member at Kingsridge Church
of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter Mindi Bingham & husband Jay of Lubbock; Lanny
McPherson & wife Ashley of Cypress, TX; Brandt McPherson & wife Erica of Liberty
City, TX; cousin/sister Charlotte Smith & husband Fletcher of Amarillo; sister-in-law
LaJuana Toombs of Merkel, TX. Karen has three grandchildren, Jaydan McPherson of
Liberty City; Cole & Cate McPherson of Cypress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband & brother-in-law Billy Bob Toombs.
Visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022, from 5PM – 7PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10AM in the Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel.
