Ms Kitty was one of my favorite people to visit when I came home to visit with my parents.  Bob and Sue Brown are my parents and for years when I came home when would go to visit Ms Kitty and she was to most awesome person.  She was always there to give a hug and to say she would pray for my safe return to Tennessee.  When my mom told me she passed away I had to take a moment, it was a sad day she was such a great and loving person.  God bless you Ms Kitty I hope the motorcycles in heaven are waiting to take you to your castle and your Burchie.  God Speed.  love you.

In memory of Aunt Kitty.  

Aunt Kitty, I will always remember, pray and miss you. I regret not spending more of my adult years with you but I did enjoy our frequent phone visits. I always looked forward to your $5 card every Christmas. I always share this info with anyone who would listen. I am proud to be your nephew. You are loved and will be missed.  I pray that God will give you a front row seat in the Heavenly Choir.

"Aunt Kitty" was a classic.  She had a perfect mix of sweetness, ruggedness, and a zest for life.  Aunt Kitty did more interesting things and worked harder in her 70's than most people do in a lifetime.  There are endless stories of harrowing things she did, late in life, that scared the family -- like mowing her huge lawn by herself in the 100 degree Lubbock summer.  My favorite memories of Aunt Kitty are the Thanksgivings she once hosted.  As a little kid, it was a magical place complete with lots of land to roam, storage sheds to explore, things to climb on like the close line poles, and a huge cat named Tom that scared all of the little kids.  All my family was in attendance -- aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, parents, and grandparents.  And, the food was great and everything seemed simple and fun.  I never saw Aunt Kitty mad and she had a classic, one-of-a-kind voice that was unmistakable.  Her house was filled with fascinating things for a kid -- a pump organ among them.  She let us play in and around the house, never scolding us for just being curious kids.  She was generous with what she had.  I can't count how many times I'd ask the origin of some knickknack and the answer was Aunt Kitty.  Aunt Kitty was tiny and sweet and had beautiful, striking eyes.  She'll be missed.

Lighting a candle for Aunt Kitty.  I will always remember her kindness and the $5 she sent for Christmas.

Kathleen was my sisternlaw and a beloved friend.She was always there to help or support me and my family no matter when or where.I enjoyed being around her and visiting ,laughing,crying,or just sitting and talking.I will miss you Kitty but know you will be in great company with Birchie,Lewis and Ed.I will always say a prayer for you.And look forward to see again in Heaven.Love IMOGENE LATHAM

Aunt Kitty[Kathleen Birthiefield] sister of my father Edgar Latham was a very good person.She loved her family.She never had children but she thought of and loved her nieces and nephews as her own children.I will always regret not spending more time with her in my adult years but I was blessed to see her alive one more time before she passed.I pray that God will hold you in his loving arms for eternity and give you a front rowseat in the heavenly choir.Your nephew STEVE LATHAM
