Kathy Lynn Crawford, 72, of Lubbock, Texas went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2026. Born on July 14, 1953, in Lubbock, Kathy lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, kindness, and a deep love for her family.
Kathy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart into creating a loving home, raising her children, and serving the Lord and her church. Later, she worked as a pharmacy technician, where her compassion and caring spirit touched the lives of countless people.
Affectionately known by her family as Chatty Kathy, she truly had the gift of gab. She never met a stranger and could say more in a minute than most could in a lifetime. She delighted in sending handwritten cards filled with encouragement, scripture, and reminders that others were loved. Through these simple acts of kindness, she quietly shared the love of Christ with everyone she encountered.
Kathy had an appreciation for life’s little joys. She loved Paris and all things French, took joy in perfectly matching her shoes to her scarves and outfits, loved dark chocolate, and made the best brownies for any and every occasion. Her unmistakable southern accent, sparkling blue eyes, kind smile, and sweet spirit made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
Her greatest earthly joy was her family. Kathy had a way of making the people she loved feel celebrated. Birthdays and holidays were never just dates on a calendar they were opportunities to create memories, make each person feel special, and remind them how deeply she love them. Ordinary days were filled with thoughtful gestures and quiet acts of care. Long after her health limited what she could physically do, she never stopped telling her kids, “let me know what I can do for you”.
Above all else, Kathy loved the Lord with all her heart. Her steadfast faith carried her through every season of life and was reflected in her compassion, encouragement, and love for others. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the encouragement she shared, the little ones she taught, the prayers she lifted, and the love she poured into her family, her church, and everyone blessed to know her.
She is survived by her children Erik, Phillip, Joy, Lyndsey, her grandson Moses; her sister, Penny and brother-in-law Michael Fulton, nephew Ethan, his wife Brette and their children Colter and Reese Fulton, as well as a host of extended family, her church family, and many dear friends whose lives touched by her love and faithful example.
