

Kay Reese, born February 15, 1942, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and respected businesswoman whose life was defined by determination, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.
A true trailblazer, Kay was a pioneer in the Texas business world for women, particularly in the crop insurance industry. Through hard work, vision, and resilience, she owned and built one of the largest and most successful agencies in the industry, earning recognition as one of the highest-producing agencies for over 20 years. She was known for her sharp mind, steady leadership, and uncompromising integrity—qualities that earned her the trust of colleagues and made her a role model for young professionals. Her influence and legacy continue to shape the industry she helped advance.
As proud as she was of her professional accomplishments, Kay’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister whose guidance, humor, and warmth left a lasting imprint on those closest to her. Becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness, and she treasured every moment with her grandsons.
Kay also had a deep love for travel, especially trips spent with her family. Photography was a true passion, and she found great joy in capturing memories through her lens. She was equally passionate about scrapbooking, not only creating beautiful keepsakes but also enthusiastically teaching others and sharing her creativity with friends and loved ones.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Kim; her son, Raef and wife Kerri; her sisters, Donna and Suzy; her brother, Ray; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Jacob, Caleb, Micah, and Jessica and great grandson Aden. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who admired her, and a community grateful for her contributions.
A viewing will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Lake Ridge Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Lake Ridge Memorial Chapel, with burial following at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
