Kelly Renee Alderman

Kelly was born on June 28, 1960, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Marvin Dorr and Verna Peerson Dorr. From the very beginning, Kelly brought a special light into the lives of those around her—a light that would continue to shine throughout her 66 years.

Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Roy Dan Alderman, whom she met while attending San Angelo State College. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless memories.

Kelly is also survived by her two devoted daughters, Linzi Marie Bailey and Kandis Lee Brothers; her sons-in-law, Kyle Bailey and Brett Brothers; and her cherished grandchildren, Jaxson Bailey, Harper Bailey, Lane Brothers, Bowen Brothers, and Karter Brothers. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Kookoo,” a name that embodied the special bond and unconditional love she shared with them.

She is also survived by her sister, Valerie Dorr Martin, and brother, Matt Dorr; brother-in-law, Kenneth Martin; niece, Megan Martin Hudson; sister-in-law, Christy Dorr; nephews, Zeke Dorr and his wife Melissa, Colt Dorr and his wife Skye, and Luke Dorr and his wife Katy; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who were blessed to know and love her.

Kelly was a sweet and kind ball of energy who loved fiercely, laughed freely, and brought joy to everyone she encountered. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her friendships were lifelong treasures, and she showed her friends the same fierce loyalty and devotion that she gave to her family.

Kelly was a woman who lived wholeheartedly. She loved deeply, worked diligently, and never hesitated to give of herself to those she cared about. For much of her career, she was a respected real estate property manager in Lubbock, where she brought the same dedication, determination, and fortitude to her work that she brought to every other part of her life.

Kelly’s love for her family and friends was rooted in a deep faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith gives those who loved her comfort in knowing that she has now gone home to her Savior.

Kelly brought life, laughter, love, and light into this world. Her absence leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew her. Yet, even in the midst of our grief, we can be grateful for the beautiful legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of faith, family, friendship, laughter, and love.

Those fortunate enough to have known Kelly will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her great laugh, fierce love and her generous spirit will be remembered. And the countless sweet memories she created with those she loved will remain a precious gift.
