Kenneth "Lefty" Massey

Kenneth "Lefty" Wayne Massey passed away on September 11, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born in Lockney, Texas, on August 16, 1973, to Bennett Massey and Christie Massey. Lefty attended New Deal High School and graduated in the class of 1992. At a young age Kenneth began his career in the cotton gin industry. Unfortunately, he lost his arm while working, but that did not stop him from continuing his life legacy and establishing the name "Lefty". He went on to work all over the country, and even traveling to and around Africa, Argentina, and Spain. Kenneth married Michele on January 16, 2004. He had 5 sons; Dusty, Dylan, Brodee, Marshal, and Lathen. Kenneth was a Pawpaw to Blakely, Kaislee, Taylyn, and Walker "WT". Kenneth's greatest passion and accomplishment was being a Pawpaw to his grandkids. Lefty also loved hunting, boating, fishing, and everything outdoors. All while having the loudest stereo system in anything he owned. Kenneth always helped and provided advice to anyone who called. He was too big for words, and a large part of all our lives. The impact he had will never be forgotten, and he will stay in everybody's hearts forever. We will always remember the jokes, smiles, and laughter that he gave us.

"I wanna say that I will miss all the fun times we had, and the laughs we shared for the past 24 years. I love you, my best friend. The love of my life. You will always be in my heart, and I will never let you go. I will carry your memory forever and ever. I love you."

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Bennett Massey and his sister, Tamie Jo.

He was survived by his mother, Christie Massey; his wife, Michele Massey; his siblings, Bennett Jr. Massey and Shane Massey; his children, Dustin Massey and Bailey Massey, Dylan Massey, Brodee Massey, Marshal Massey and Jasmine Gonzales, and Lathen Massey; his grandchildren, Blakely Massey, Kaislee Massey, Taylyn Massey, and Walker "WT" massey; his nephews, Jacob Massey and Ashley Massey, and Alexander Massey; and his great-nephews & nieces, Weston Massey, Colt "Rooster" Massey, and Alaina Massey.
