Kimberley McCay Parker passed away peacefully, as her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called her to her eternal home, Monday morning, January 14, 2019 at her home in Lubbock Texas, after struggling with complications from diabetes.
Kim was born on December 28, 1968 in Houston Texas to Dr. Dan Arnold and wife Mary Arnold. Kim would accomplish many things in her life. She had a strong passion for education, dogs, and to the elderly. She achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech in 1991 in Hotel and Institutional Management, and in 1993 a Master’s of Science in Gerontology.
She worked in the IT industry as an Oracle Development and Systems Analyst. Kim’s IT experience would also gain her an entrance into Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. Additionally Kim served as adjunct professor at the University of Las Vegas. Her most recent accomplishment was her work as a Board Member with the 10-7 K9 Association, that supports active and retired law enforcement K9 units in the state of Texas. Kim loved life and was devoted to Texas Tech. A true Red Raider thru and thru. She was always a true inspiration of hope to those her knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Parker of Lubbock, her mother Mary Arnold of Houston Texas, her step- children, Chelsea Parker, Jake Parker and Katie Peralta of Dallas, Texas, and two step-grandchildren, Luci and Anderson Peralta, also of Dallas, Texas.
