Larry "Butch" William & Karen Dianne Ables

When you look upon this ring it is an endless circle, you are to remember that your pledge to each other must be regarded as endless, until death do you part. True loves, Larry William Ables, lovingly known as “Butch” and Karen Carruth Ables, entered into eternal rest just 5 days from each other. Butch was born to Lonnie and Iva Ables on October 21, 1943 and passed away on January 13, 2022. Karen was born to Ralph and Mabel Carruth on November 28, 1944 and passed peacefully surrounded by her family on January 18, 2022. While spending his childhood in Lefors, Texas; Butch met the love of his life, Karen Dianne Carruth. They married on June 14th, 1963 and went on to raise three beloved sons. Butch was a man of strong faith and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved motorcycles and Ford Mustangs, hunting, fishing, firearms, and football. Butch had an exceptional devotion to his family and friends. And he always looked forward to Wednesday lunches and Saturday morning coffee with the guys. Karen spent her life loving and doting on her children, grandchildren and most recently great grandchildren. Karen was happiest starting every morning on her porch swing with a cup of coffee while listening to the birds around her. She also enjoyed many types of crafts including oil painting and making stained glass art. Karen is survived by one sister, Lyssa Sanders and husband Joe. Together they leave behind to cherish their memories, their children: Steven Ables and wife Heidi, Mike Ables, Justin Ables and wife Melanee; grandchildren: Lindsey DeWit and husband Jake, Logan Luna and husband Ethan, Brandon Stevens, and great-grandchildren: Hudson Luna and Grace DeWit. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4pm-8pm. Services will continue at the funeral home on Friday, January 21, 2021 with a 10:00am Celebration of Life and interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
