Leon Headlee, 93 passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1923 in Boise City, Oklahoma. He married Georgia Sue Hall on November 28, 1940 in Woodward, Oklahoma and he has been a resident of Lubbock since 1967.
Leon was a WWII Vet, worked for The Railroad as a blacksmith and then became self-employed as a building contractor. He was a member of The Church of Christ.
Leon was preceded in death by his beloved wife Georgia and two sons Curtis “Jimmy” Headlee and Leon “Curtis” Headlee Jr. and a brother David Headlee.
Survivors include his son Nicky and wife Sheryl of Lubbock; son Glenn and wife Tamara of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and a brother Oris.
