Services for Lillian Asibal Monroe, 80, of Lubbock, will be held on Saturday, Oct 2, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Green Lawn Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Monroe passed away on Wednesday, Sept 29th.
Lillian was born on Aug 19, 1930 in Cebu City, Philippines, to William B. and Arcadia Asibal Young. She married Ted G. Monroe, on Feb 28, 1959 in Long Beach, CA. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Pearl Harbor, HI.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Monroe in 2002, and a sister, Marylin Hynan.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Mitch and wife Ginger Monroe of Lubbock and Miles and wife Laurie Monroe of Dallas; a daughter-in-law, Rene Rudder of Lubbock; two sisters, Aida Breslin and Jeannie Graham; one brother, Fred Young; six grandchildren and one great grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
