Lillian Rose "Dolly" Foerster

Lillian Rose “Dolly” Foerster, 86, of Lubbock passed away June 27, 2013. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at The Historic Redeemer Lutheran Church at 10:00 am with the Rev. Brian Dupre officiating with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 until 8pm.

Dolly was born on August 16, 1926 in Lynn County, Texas to the late Alvin and Elsie (Nierlich) Schoppa. She spent her early years working on her family farm, she brought those same skills into her marriage to the late Luther Foerster and was an excellent homemaker. She also enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a charter member of The Historic Redeemer Lutheran Church where in 1950 she and her husband hosted the first wedding reception in the church.

She is survived by three children, Diane Mann and husband John of Lubbock, David Foerster and wife Patti of New Home, and Deloris Kearney and husband Larry of Graham; six grandchildren, Gregory Mann, Kimberlie Hensley, Jade and Ashley Foerster, and Julia and Ethan Kearney; six great-grandchildren

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Historic Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2221 Ave W, Lubbock, TX 79411 or to a charity of your choice.
