Lois Marie Stone

She graduated from Friona High School in 1955 then attend business school in Lubbock, Texas. Lois married Bob Hunter soon after and had 4 sons. Three of those four sons survive her; Bob & Lisa Hunter, Dan & Mary Jane DeBusk-Hunter, James & Kelly Hunter. Ronny Hunter preceded her death in 2013.

She was married to John Stone in 1967 until his passing in 1992. Lois, was a devout member of Odessa 1st Baptist and then later of Idalou Baptist Church. Lois, sang in the Choir in Odessa for many years and taught piano as well. Lois’s love of music was shared with many of her grandchildren as her grandmother instilled it in her at a very young age and taught her to play the piano.

Surviving siblings are Ruby, Virginia, Myrtie, Barbara, Kathy, Shirley, Dorothy, Brenda, Hugh, Jerry and John as well as Jessie, Joe, and Glenda which preceded her in death. All stayed very close through-out her life. Lois also had a total of 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Lois was a survivor of Thyroid cancer and will be missed by everyone.
