

Lonnie L. Brock, 94, of Lubbock, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017. He was born on June 20, 1922, to Robert and Lamiza Brock in Rochester, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Kathleen Davis, on July 18, 1943. He was a World War II veteran who loved his country and served it proudly.
Lonnie’s career of 50 years was that of Parts Manager for Lubbock Auto, Pollard Ford, and Morris Auto Parts, and as Fleet Parts Manager for the City of Lubbock. Lonnie was a dedicated father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Lonnie loved his family, loved traveling to the Colorado’s mountains, and loved the outdoors, as well as the fishing, sports, and activities afforded during his many travels.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathleen; two brothers, Ben Brock, and Mabry Brock; one sister, Lela Brock; and a son, Ronnie Brock. Lonnie leaves these to cherish his memories: two sons, Michael Brock, and Steve Brock (wife Deb) and daughter-in-law, Janet Brock; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, June Bowen; two brothers, Bob Brock, and Jimmy Don Brock; and beloved nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
