Loretta Zane Edge, 85 of Lubbock Texas, went to her heavenly home on Sunday October 20th, 2024. She was at her home of the last couple of years with her beloved daughter in law, Sandra Edge, under the care of Calvert Hospice.
Loretta was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma on July 10th, 1939, to Charles and Josephine Clark. She married the love of her life Milburn Edge on October 14th, 1957, and they were married for 58 years. She was preceded in death by Milburn on March 12th, 2016. They had one son Donald Edge; she was preceded in death by him on January 20th, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, and a cherished nephew Roger Ward on August 7th, 2019.
Loretta was employed by Lubbock ISD and Aramark food services for 52 years. She served as a cafeteria manager and catering manager for them during her career. She trained numerous employees, managers, and supervisors. Many of whom are still employed with Aramark today. She retired from Aramark in 2011. She was a longtime member of Monterey Baptist Church; she loved her church family and considered it a second home.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter in law, Sandra Edge. 6 Grandchildren, Michelle Atkins-Archer and husband Brad Archer, Amanda Fields and husband Joshua Fields, Marcus Edge and wife Jillian Edge. 9 Great Grandchildren, Brittany Madrid and wife Evelyn Madrid, Adryane Atkins and wife Hannah Atkins, Matt Fields, Cash Fields, Sydney Edge, Zane Edge, and Trooper Edge. One brother, Charles Clark and wife Sherri Clark. A cherished niece Lucinda Ward and her children. As well as many other friends that she has considered family over the years.
