

She was born May 28, 1940 to Floyd Leonard Baker and Jessie Mae Brumley in Brownfield, Texas. Lou attended Brownfield Public Schools and was a lifelong member of the Baptist church. She was a current member of Southcrest Baptist Church. Lou Married at a young age and devoted her life to her 4 children.
Later in life, she met and married Glenn Meyers on June 17, 1989 and added a son, Jeff Meyers to her family. What mattered to her most was her family.
Lou was manager of the Hallmark store in Lubbock for 8 years. Glenn and Lou were members of Levi and Lace Square Dancers Club where they made and enjoyed lifelong friendships. Lou loved to sew, paint, make flower arrangements and was an avid quilter. Each quilt was pieced with love.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years Glenn Meyers; children: Dianna Howell and husband Mike, Greg Callaway and wife Patsy, Travis Callaway and wife Jaynel, Lisa Brown and husband Warren Thompson, and Jeff Meyers and wife Cindy; grandsons: Brent, Blake, Josh, and Trevor; granddaughters: Lea, Jennifer, Amber, Sara, Rachel, Kayla, Jamie, and Jayden; 22 great grandchildren; brother Wiley Baker and wife Sandra, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, step dad Steve Parks, and brother Cecil Baker and wife Linda.
A Celebration of life for Louella will be held in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. A visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2019, at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
