

Lucas Ron Ashmore, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away into heaven on May 24th 2022 in Ankeny, Iowa. Lucas was born March 15th, 1980 in Lubbock Texas to Ronald Robert Ashmore and Sharla (Acuff) Ashmore.
Lucas graduated from Frenship High School in 1998, and attended South Plains College where he studied to be an EMT. Lucas enlisted in the United States army in 2002 and he was stationed in Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri and Ft. Bush, El Paso, Texas where he served as Motor Transport. Lucas then entered the National Guard and was discharged in 2010. Lucas held many jobs including being a deputy sheriff in Sumter County, South Carolina 2006 - 2007. Lucas returned to Lubbock where he was employed with University Medical Center, where he worked as a security officer, EMT, and Anesthesia Technician. Lucas was married to Erica Palmer from 2005 - 2018.
Lucas was preceded in Death by his grandparents James and Iona Ashmore of Lubbock, and Kenneth and Dorothy Acuff of Colorado City.
Lucas is survived by his parents Ron Ashmore of Abilene, and Sharla Brake of Lubbock. His older brother Ken Ashmore of Lubbock, and his twin brother Lane Ashmore of Lubbock. His nephew Dalton and niece Kenlee Ashmore both of Lubbock, as well many cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life services for Lucas will be held on July 30th, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Resthaven Chapel in Lubbock T.X with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
