Services for Lydia “Granny” Fisher, 73, of Lubbock, will be at 1 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Fisher passed away on Monday, April 2nd.
Lydia was born on July 16, 1938 in Caldwell, Texas. She was married to M.D. Fisher for 40 years prior to his death in 1995. She had been a resident of Lubbock since 1970. She worked as a cake decorator for Baskin-Robbins and Sam’s in Lubbock for many years.
Survivors include one son, Larry Fisher of Crosbyton; two daughters, Lorry Lamkin and Cindy Wheeler both of Lubbock; one sister, Millie Bessent of Lubbock; one brother, Jerry Simonek of Waco; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
