Maggie Dement

Funeral services for Maggie Brown Dement will be held at 10 A.M. Friday December 23rd at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday December 22nd from 6-8 p.m.

Maggie was born April 18th, 1923 in Athens, Texas to Clarance and Nettie Brown. The family moved to West Texas when she was 2 years old. She married Virgil Dement in 1938, he passed in 1988. Maggie worked at the Vogue Beauty Shop as a receptionist for 13 years. She also worked at Methodist hospital for 14 years. Maggie enjoyed spending time with family and loved to travel.

Maggie is survived by a son, Duane and wife Marietta; 4 grand children, Greg Dement and wife Bianca, Amy Brown and husband Doug, Matt Dement, Michael Dement and wife Becky; six great grand children, Isabella Dement, Sophia Dement, Carly Brown, Drake Brown, Caris Brown, and Taylor Dement. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son,Gary, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Memorials are suggested to Sunset Church of Christ 3723 34th Street or the Sunset International Bible Institute.
