She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 13, 1928. Jo graduated from Birdville High School in Birdville, Texas and then attended TCU.
She was married to E.H. (Edward) Turnipseed in January 1948. She was a homemaker who stayed home and cared for her children. She was a member of the Monterey Baptist Church and a former member of the Solo Square Dance Club.
She had a passion for traveling. She traveled the United State with her husband in their RV. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and the local Good Sam’s Club. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, friends, church family and her square dancing friends.
She is survived by her son Gene Turnipseed, daughter Jo Fryar, and her grandson Christopher Fryar.
She is proceeded in death by her husband E.H. Turnipseed, daughter Jerry Montgomery, and son Jackie Dewayne Turnipseed.
A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 11:30AM.
