Manuel was born on September 10th, 1942, in Stanton, Texas, to Maria and Jose Gutierrez.
On October 27th, 1959, Manuel married the love of his life, Lidia Santos. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed seven children into the world.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Gutierrez and Jose Gutierrez.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Lidia Gutierrez; children, Manuel N. (Charlotte) Gutierrez Jr., Glenda Gutierrez, Carmen (Martin) Nevarez, Martina (Luis) Salinas, Sylvia (John) Grimaldo, Sandra Gutierrez, and Teresa (Myles) McAuley; twenty-four grandchildren; as well as his sisters Loraine Santos, Vicki Gutierrez, Susanna Gutierrez, Elidia Cavazos, and his brother Juan Gutierrez.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407.
